One Life
TO LIVE
“I never stopped loving you, I just stopped listening to my heart”

Jenna Davis is returning to Balsam River after six years away, when she was busy going to school and working in the city. She left after the death of one of her best friends and sister in law, Amy Ryan. Her brother and newborn niece left town to cope with their grief, and the Ryan’s seemed to have needed their own time and space to grieve their sister.
But she’s been missing something all these years and she’s sure the only place she’ll find it is….at home.
A twist in her plans comes in the form of a connection she didn’t realize she was missing and it might be the one she wants to rebuild the most.
Will another tragedy tear her life apart again just when she thinks all the pieces have come back together?

“You can drown in your grief or you can turn it into love. Love for life, love for the people you have left and love for yourself. Love yourself enough to carry on.”
From the
ASHES
“We never wish for tragedy and we try to avoid it at all costs, but sometimes beauty can come from the ashes that are left behind.”
Sara has been torn apart by grief and loss, she’s picked herself up and carried on, only to be torn apart all over again.
This time, she can’t afford to fall apart because she’s been left as the legal guardian to her seven year old niece, Andi.
Maybe this is her chance to rise above the weight of grief that’s pulling her down and find her true self amongst the ashes.
Of course, Jack is always there, always waiting to help her and to love her, if only she’ll let him.
Jack Turner has been waiting for the last seven years for her to give him a chance. Now he’s recruiting everyone in town to help him woo the formidable Sara Ryan.
Can he convince her there’s more to life than obligations?
Can she be everything Andi needs, stay true to herself and still be there for the people she loves?
“Everyone says, grief is love, but if they’d felt this grief, they wouldn’t all just walk blindly into love.”
Forgiving Me,
FINDING YOU
‘Happy go lucky, always there for you’ Noah Ryan, isn’t feeling the happy or the lucky part of his reputation.
He can’t seem to let go of the role he had in a tragedy that rocked his family and friends. Add to that, getting dumped and volunteering for the role of emergency guardian to local sixteen-year-old Charlie, and Noah is in over his head.
Just when he thinks it couldn’t get any more complicated, his best friend’s younger sister moves in next door. Her contempt for him and his so-called delinquent teenager should have him running in the other direction. Instead, he’s intrigued and maybe a little tempted by her passion for putting him in his place.
When Kristin moved back to Balsam River, after a tragic fire devastated her brother’s farm, she figured she’d enjoy being closer to her brother and a quiet place to figure out what she wants from her future. Until her rental falls through, and she’s forced to live next door to her brother’s, tall, annoyingly handsome best friend, who she happens to hate. Noah is the local golden boy that everyone looks up to. Except when it was her brother in need, he was nowhere to be found. On top of that, he’s now taken in the kid responsible for the fire at her brother’s farm.
She never thought she could forgive Noah and Charlie for risking her brother’s life in that fire, but the more time she spends with them, the less she’s sure about that. And between a moody teenager, runaway cows and her new neighbour, her plans for a quiet life in Balsam River seem to be changing beyond her control.
But she may find something she didn’t even know she was looking for.
